CME Participates Day of the Filipino Seafarer 2014

6/30/2014

3rd year Maritime cadets spearheaded by the faculty and staff of Surigao Education Center joined the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) Region XIII in the celebration of the Day of the Seafarers last June 27, 2014 at the Philippine Ports Authority, Surigao City. "Pinoy Seafarers: Proudly Moving the World" was the theme of the celebration.
A floral offering graced the morning activities. It was followed by the simultaneously blowing of the ships' horns. A motorcade around the city followed. Then a brief program was held at the Eva Macapagal Passenger Terminal. In the afternoon, SEC basketball varsity players participated in the exhibition games and competed with the players of the other participating groups.
