The event is a regular activity prior to the celebration of the City’s Charter Day Anniversary every 31st of August. Contestants from different schools and barangays showcased their culinary talents through live cooking as they create their own interpretation of a unique specific Surigaonon dish.
Jasmine Hanako A. Gonzales and Cyril G. Gelan won the 3rd Place for Surigao ‘s Best Kinilaw; Kimverly L. Bisnar and Jojie B. Sabac won 2nd Place for Surigao’s Seafood Specialty; and Sharryl R. Cortez and Maria Fe C. Tiu won 3rd Place for Surigao’s Native Delicacy. They were guided by their proud coaches Mrs. Cherry Louie D. Bacud, Ms. Aireen Mae A. Abis, and Ms. Monaliza D. Agujetas.
