Surigao Education Center is a non-sectarian, non-stock educational institution established in 1978. It was originally founded as the Surigao Medical Center School of Midwifery and officially adopted its present name on November 25, 1987, coinciding with the approval of its registration by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Strategically located at Kilometer 2, National Highway, Surigao City, Philippines, Surigao Education Center has evolved into a respected Higher Education Institution in the Caraga Region. Through its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, the institution offers a diverse range of programs spanning basic to tertiary education. These programs are duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), and the Department of Education (DepEd), reflecting the institution's adherence to national standards of quality and educational excellence.
